Job summary

Silver Hill Hospital seeks a Residential Counselor to create a safe, therapeutic milieu for patients in Residential Programs, fostering growth and independence. The role requires 40 hours per week with weekend hours. You will supervise daily activities, conduct crisis management, and document patient progress.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field and CPR/BLS certification after hire. Prior behavioral health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, therapeutic milieu during admission and orientation of new patients, including supervision of daily activities and crisis management.
• Encourages patient participation in care and helps identify treatment-interfering behaviors.
• Assesses for suicide and fall risk; informs necessary team members.
• Monitors self-administration of medication and maintains accurate records.
