Job summary

Community Resources for Justice in Middleborough, MA is hiring a Residential Counselor to join our growing team. This full-time, 40 hours/week, non-exempt position offers benefits and a starting rate of $18/hr.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours (interviews, appointments, recreation, religious services, shopping).
• Support and teach clients new skills per Individual Service Plan goals.
• Model positive behavior to enhance quality of life while ensuring safety.
• Administer medications and complete documentation (progress notes, summaries, attendance).

What you'll do

• Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours; this may include job interviews, medical appointments, weekly recreation, religious services, and shopping trips
• Support and teach clients new skills including, but not limited to, specific goals in the clients’ Individual Service Plan
• Acting as a positive role model for the client to support attaining the highest quality of life while maintaining their safety in all settings
• Administering medications and completing appropriate documentation in a timely manner, such as progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Desire to make a genuine difference in the lives of others
• Must pass required certifications in the allotted time set forth by the agency
• Must pass a criminal and driver’s check
