SUMMARY

The Residential Coordinator is responsible for assisting the QIDP’s with supporting the daily operations, staffing coordination, quality assurance, participant care oversight, and direct supervision of residential support staff within assigned programs and homes. This position works collaboratively with the QIDP, Administrator, House Managers, and Direct Support Professionals to ensure quality participant services are delivered in accordance with agency policies, Idaho regulations, and person-centered practices.

The Residential Coordinator assists with staffing coverage, employee support, participant care oversight, medication quality assurance, client events and activities, incident follow-up, training coordination, and crisis response while promoting a safe and supportive environment for participants and staff.

In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Residential Coordinator may provide direct support services as needed to maintain continuity of care.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS

  • Assist with putting together client events and activities, rotates weekly between Residential Coordinators.
  • Assist with staffing coordination, shift coverage, and on-call responsibilities as needed to support program operations.
  • Communicate staffing needs, scheduling concerns, and coverage issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Communicate scheduling updates and staffing changes with employees as necessary.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to House Managers and Direct Support Professionals.
  • Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral support, emergency situations, and participant incidents in accordance with agency policy.
  • Ensure participant care tracking systems, MARs, daily documentation, and required paperwork are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of participant documentation, files, and household records to ensure compliance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure incident reports are completed accurately and follow-up actions are addressed appropriately.
  • Coordinate additional staff training or corrective action with the QIDP and leadership team when necessary.
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to Direct Support Professionals and House Managers.
  • Assist with medication quality assurance processes, including reviewing MARs and ensuring medications match physician orders and pharmacy records.
  • Assist with medication pickups and coordination as needed.
  • Attend participant team meetings, medical appointments, and staff meetings as requested or required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant and employee information in accordance with HIPAA and agency standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow OSHA and agency safety procedures.
  • Provide direct care and participant support services as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the QIDP, Administrator, or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to provide services according to an individualized plan of service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with participants, families, staff, and community members.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist participants as required, including lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.
  • Must have an active driver’s license and be able to transport clients.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Successfully complete criminal history and background checks in accordance with IDAPA 16.05.06 and agency policy.
  • Free from communicable diseases as required by applicable regulations.
  • Completion of Assistance with Medications training approved by the Idaho State Board of Nursing or other Department-approved training, when medication assistance is required.
  • Complete Department-approved traumatic brain injury training as required.
  • Maintain any certifications or licensure required to perform assigned duties.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and minimum automobile liability insurance coverage of 100/300 if transporting participants.

ONGOING ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain compliance with all required training and certifications.
  • Successfully complete background rechecks as required by agency policy.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with agency policy.
  • Maintain reliable transportation and current automobile insurance if driving is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to clean, bend over, lift 25 pounds above shoulder.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout office and program locations as needed.
  • Ability to drive clients during the day and at night.
