Job summary

Horizon House, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Residential Direct Care Supervisor in Philadelphia, PA.

The role involves coordinating and guiding clients as they move from mental health services to greater independence, assisting site operations, and supervising direct service staff. The position requires an Associate's degree in Social Sciences or healthcare with 2–3 years MH/MR experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Some knowledge of mental health systems and supports.
• Prior supervisory experience is helpful.

Description

We are seeking qualified candidates for the Full-Time ResidentialCoordinator position. Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in the Social Sciences, healthcare, or a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience in the MH/MR field; or any combination of experience, education, or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Prior supervisory experience is helpful.

Scope:

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, and bend, which may include direct intervention with residents.
• Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• May be required to possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (contingent upon facility location and client and program needs).
• May require crisis intervention in emergencies.
• May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.
