Description
Purpose:
- Coordinate and provide guidance, counseling and encouragement to clients.
- Assist the Manager with the daily operations of the site and direct service staff.
- Implement and document client progress, in accordance with individualized rehabilitation service plans.
Supervision Received:
- Receives general supervision from the House Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
- Provide general supervision to the Peer Specialist
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, healthcare or a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Behavioral Health field; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Some knowledge of Behavioral Health systems and supports.
- Prior supervisory experience, helpful.
Scope:
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct intervention with residents.
- Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- May be required to possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (contingent upon facility location, client and program needs).
- May require crisis intervention in emergency situations.
- May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors or better in Social Services or related field.
Experience
- 2-3 years: Relevant experience in the Behavioral Health field
