Job summary

Description

Purpose:

• Coordinate and provide guidance, counseling and encouragement to clients.
• Assist the Manager with the daily operations of the site and direct service staff.

Supervision Received:

• Receives general supervision from the House Manager.

Supervision Exercised:

• Provide general supervision to the Peer Specialist

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, healthcare or a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Behavioral Health field; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Some knowledge of Behavioral Health systems and supports.
• Prior supervisory experience, helpful.

Scope:

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct intervention with residents.
• Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• May be required to possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (contingent upon facility location, client and program needs).
• May require crisis intervention in emergency situations.
• May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.
