Job summary

DISHER is partnering with a local construction company to hire a Project Manager for residential projects in Portage, MI. The role oversees pre-construction through completion, managing schedules, budgets, safety, and client communication to ensure homes are delivered on time and to high standards.

Key requirements include 2+ years in residential PM, ability to read plans, strong organizational skills, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in residential construction project management or related leadership role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for project schedule, quality, safety, budget, and client satisfaction
• Develop and manage project schedules, look-ahead plans, and jobsite activities
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and construction teams
• Conduct pre-construction scope reviews with trade partners and suppliers
• Evaluate construction methods and proactively identify solutions to jobsite challenges
• Ensure materials are ordered, delivered, and available when needed
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate construction workflows and documentation
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, company standards, and local building codes
• Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong client communication throughout the project
• Drive quality by proactively identifying issues and coordinating corrective actions
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite environment
