Job summary

IAPMO Group in Nashville, TN is seeking a Legacy South Construction Manager to oversee all construction activity on the assigned project, ensuring adherence to plans, specs and schedule. The CM will assist with logistics planning and execution, driving on-site safety and quality.

You will lead the on-site team, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress in Smartsheet, hold meetings, prepare daily logs, and ensure timely inspections and owner handoffs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience managing onsite construction.
• 3+ years of management/supervisor experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all construction trades and regulations.
• Proven project experience including site development.
• Highly organized and task oriented.
• Motivated leader with great people skills.
• Must be able to interpret all plan sets and hold subcontractors accountable to scope of work, quality standards and execution in accordance with project timeline.

Responsibilities

• Review all key project documents to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Anticipate and mitigate problems across trades and develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve issues affecting the schedule.
• Track weekly starts and closeout activities in Smartsheet.
• Assist in preparing status reports and daily logs.
• Maintain the project schedule and communicate milestone tasks.
• Lead on-site construction team and subcontractors through clear communication.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
• Coordinate owner handoffs upon completion of units.
