Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is seeking a Residential Construction Intern to join our Construction team. The intern will participate in three phases of home building, receive on-the-job training, and assist with site setup and cleanup.

Opportunities to guide volunteers after training and develop leadership are included. Dates run from September 2026 to December 23, 2026 with a schedule up to 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn basic carpentry and construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with framing, siding, doors, windows, decks, trim, and cabinets.
• Work under supervision of senior construction staff.
• Safely operate and maintain construction tools and equipment.
• Support daily site setup and end-of-day cleanup.
