Job summary
Cortese Construction in Clarence, NY is seeking a Construction Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates for residential remodeling and construction projects. You will collaborate with Sales, Design, Production, Purchasing, and Accounting to develop proposals and manage project profitability from start to finish.
The role requires strong math, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret plans and drawings.
Qualifications
- Experience estimating residential construction or remodeling projects preferred.
- Minimum of one year of PlanSwift experience required.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Review project information and scope with the Sales team.
- Analyze project plans, specifications and customer selections.
- Prepare detailed material takeoffs using PlanSwift.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Verify estimate accuracy before proposal preparation.
