Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections at various stages of construction for compliance with residential codes and policies.
• Reads and interprets plans, specifications, correspondence, and related construction documents.
• Provides technical assistance and advice on difficult or unusual construction problems, methods or materials.
• Performs emergency inspections to resolve difficult problems.
• Explains and interprets construction codes to owners, contractors, design professionals, the general public and construction inspectors.
• Prepares and maintains technical reports.
• Obtains evidence and prepares any necessary reports to offer testimony against code violators.
• Performs related work as assigned.
