Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is seeking a Full-Time Residential Coach for Lisa's House in Plainville, CT.

The role supports adolescent girls through DBT-informed programming, providing daily supervision, care, and interventions to help them regulate emotions and build healthy relationships. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in weekly planning, and contribute to a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred in Human Service or related field.
• At least six months of relevant experience in human services or two years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
• Familiarity with gender-responsive, relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, daily care and support services to youth.
• Counsel girls in groups and individually to promote pro-social behavior.
• Contribute to a safe program community and culture.
• Facilitate daily focus and skills development groups and gender-specific approaches.
• Maintain daily activity logs and prepare reports on activities and progress.
• Ensure medication is administered per agency policies.
• Assist with family visits and mediations when needed.
• Respond to crisis or emergency situations to ensure youth safety.

At Lisa’s House, youth will find an array of comprehensive, client-specific treatment, services and interventions to help with emotional regulation, empowering adolescent females on decision-making and building healthy relationships, and boosting educational functioning. This will be accomplished through the implementation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
