Job summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a Clinician to provide services at our residential crisis center, working with adults who have a serious mental illness diagnosis. The role requires a 5-day week including weekends and emphasizes strong clinical assessment and therapy skills.

With a 50-year history in the Pine Belt, the organization offers an extensive continuum of care across eighteen counties.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral health field required.
• Clinical license preferred.
• Must obtain Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Behavioral health internship required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Asks appropriate questions as required by the clinical intake documentation, to elicit information.
• Assists consumer in establishing realistic therapeutic goals appropriate to the problems presented.
• Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families.
• Provides written record of consumer's progress through the therapeutic process.
• Uses information obtained in clinical observations to suggest diagnosis and severity of condition.
