Job summary

Apple Valley Waste is seeking a CDL Residential Driver in Berkeley Springs, WV to support our residential waste collection routes. This full-time role involves safe operation of a rear-load garbage truck, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, and delivering dependable service to customers.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and competitive compensation, with opportunities for growth, PPE provided, and a schedule mostly Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A or B CDL with valid DOT medical certificate.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and climb in/out of the truck.
• Basic knowledge of pre- and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate rear-load garbage truck on assigned routes to collect waste.
• Lift and move objects up to 70 lbs and perform manual labor as needed.
• Read route sheets and service each customer on the route as assigned.
• Full-time schedule, typically Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays; home evenings.
• Operate hydraulic controls to load and dump waste.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
