Job summary

Apple Valley Waste is expanding its residential trash team in Keyser, WV. We are hiring a Driver - Residential Trash who leads from the front and drives our rear-load garbage truck on specified routes.

You will perform manual lifting, operate hydraulic equipment, and ensure safety and quality on every run. The role requires a Class A or B CDL with a current DOT medical certificate, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and pre/post-trip inspections.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with a current DOT medical certificate.
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Experience with pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and routine safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a rear-load garbage truck on assigned residential routes safely.
• Perform manual labor including lifting up to 70 lbs and climbing in/out of the truck.
• Read route sheets and service customers as assigned by the dispatcher.
• Work schedule: full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays; typically home each evening.
• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle readiness for routes.
