Patrick A. Finn Ltd. seeks a Residential Remodeling Carpenter to join a collaborative team focused on exceptional design, quality craftsmanship, and client experience in the Chicago area.

In this full-time onsite role, you’ll perform rough and finish carpentry, read plans, install cabinetry and trim, and ensure projects meet high standards and local codes. Palatine commuting is expected and the company offers health insurance, PTO, holidays, 401(k), and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of residential remodeling or carpentry experience.
• Strong rough and finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of residential building practices and codes.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential remodeling projects.
• Read blueprints, construction drawings, and project specs.
• Install framing, cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, drywall, siding, insulation, flooring, and finishes.
• Identify construction challenges and propose practical solutions.
• Work with project managers, designers, trades, and carpenters to stay on schedule.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized, professional jobsites.
• Protect homeowners' property while delivering quality workmanship.
• Mentor less experienced carpenters and improve craftsmanship.
