Groom Construction Co Inc in Salem, MA is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Residential team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, read blueprints, and work independently or with a crew.

You will construct, install, and repair structures from wood and other materials, uphold safety standards, and collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time.

This role requires OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain it, own tools, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of proven carpentry experience.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong carpentry knowledge and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina for lifting and moving materials.
• Clear communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials with hand and power tools.
• Construct building frameworks including walls, floors and doorframes.
• Install cabinets, siding, drywall, and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
