Job summary

Harrisonburg-Rockingham CSB in Virginia seeks Residential Relief Staff to provide direct client services in supervised residential settings for individuals with serious mental illness. Qualifications

• Working knowledge of mental illness and substance abuse.
• Ability to provide supportive counseling and record-keeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops knowledge of residents’ strengths and needs and plans care.
• Oversees residents with scheduled hours including evenings/weekends as needed.
• Provides direct training to residents on daily living and community living skills.
• Maintains supportive relationships to promote maximum functioning.
• Provides crisis intervention when needed and coordinates with emergency services.
