Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) in Torrington, CT, is seeking Direct Care Staff for the Woodside residential program. You will build meaningful relationships and help participants achieve independence and recovery.

You will support daily living, community integration and safety, and provide informal, person-centered guidance in a group home setting. Schedule is 3rd shift, 10:00pm–6:00am (Sun, Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and a registered, insured vehicle for work.
• Experience with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to residents in a group home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living and monitor self-administered medications.
• Advocate for residents in various community settings to support independence.
• Develop professional, supportive relationships and provide person-centered guidance.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure safety and quality of care.
