Job summary

CPMCARES in Meriden, CT is seeking a Residential Support Staff member to provide direct care and active treatment to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will help them develop daily living skills and implement DDS-guided goals.

The role is part-time, 3rd shift, with responsibilities including documenting progress, providing transportation for medical and program needs, and responding to crises under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Medication Certification through DDS, First Aid, CPR and PMT certifications must be acquired within six months of hire date and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement goals and strategies consistent with DDS guidelines and CPM policies.
• Document progress according to teaching strategy and track behavioral data accurately.
• Provide transportation for medical, programmatic, and recreational requirements.
• Maintain vehicle mileage, service, and safety documentation.
• Provide escort and timely medical progress notes, orders, and appointments.
• Respond calmly to crises and emergencies under supervision.
• Report all serious incidents to supervisors.
• Carry out other duties assigned by Coordinator.
