Job summary

Envision Unlimited in Iowa is seeking an Assistant Administrator to lead daily operations at our residential care facility and HCBS programs. You will work closely with the Administrator to ensure quality, compliance and person-centered care across SCL, Day Habilitation, and Home-Based services.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, knowledge of HCBS standards, and the ability to guide staff through policy, safety and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

• Requires supervisory experience in HCBS or residential care.
• Knowledge of HCBS operating standards, regulations and reimbursement.
• Must meet DIA qualifications for residential care facility administrative staff (481 IAC 57.9).

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct daily operations across the facility and HCBS programs.
• Take on full administrative authority when the Administrator is away.
• Write, update and review facility policies and procedures to stay compliant.
• Recruit, hire and onboard directors, supervisors and Direct Support Professionals.
• Supervise staff with coaching, performance reviews and corrective action.
• Schedule orientation and in-service training, and conduct satisfaction and exit interviews.
• Protect resident rights and ensure confidentiality and fair treatment.
• Oversee health and safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness.
• Serve on QA and Infection Control committees and write plans of correction.
• Inspect the facility and report to Administrator and Management Team.
• Build relationships with residents, families, agencies and the community.
