Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) – Office of Mental Health, Central Office, Mauldin, SC – Direct Support Professional II role.

You will assist residents with daily living, support treatment teams, and help them develop skills for independence in a residential facility. Responsibilities include direct care, medication assistance, coordinating transport to appointments, and helping with meals and chores.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and one year of direct support experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and model appropriate skills.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and document progress.
• Assist and coordinate transportation to medical appointments and activities.
• Assist in meal preparation and household chores.
