Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Residential Care Advisor at our Munhall location to provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in a residential treatment setting.

You might cook, clean, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family and the treatment team, and design games and crafts. We value professionalism, flexibility, compassion, and teamwork in a supportive, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/equivalency with 1 year of direct care experience
• Valid driver’s license; pre-employment drug screen; Act 33/34/73 clearances
• Professional, flexible, compassionate; ability to work in a team and remain calm in stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in residential treatment
• Develop and mentor a team using strengths-based approaches
• Participate in daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, medications) and coordinate with families and treatment teams
• Take residents to appointments and design games and crafts
• Engage with residents, family members and the treatment team to support care plans
