Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy, a service partner in the Trinity Health system, seeks staff for a residential program in Bethel Park. This non-exempt role covers evenings (3pm-11pm) and provides direct care to residents with Serious Mental Illness in a small 3-bed home. You will support activities, meals, medications, and community engagement.

Ideal candidates bring compassion, professionalism, and teamwork. Clearances, a valid driver’s license, and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services OR HS diploma/equivalency with 1 year direct care experience.
• Ability to drive an organization automobile/van.
• Act 33/34/73 Clearances.
• Pre-employment Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist and train individuals with Serious Mental Illness in a residential Bethel Park location.
• Mentor and develop a small team using strengths-based approaches and positive practices.
• Work in a 3-bed Mental Health Support Home in a neighborhood setting across from South Park.
• Engage residents on-site and in community activities to support wellbeing.
• Support social and personal wellbeing through daily interactions, activities, and transportation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• This position will provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment Bethel Park location.

• We're looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.

• This position will work in a small 3-bed Mental Health Support Home located in a neighborhood setting in Bethel Park., conveniently located across from South Park.

• While required daily tasks to ensure the health and well-being of the residents and site are of utmost importance, this position offers many opportunities to engage with the residents both on site and out in the community.

• Along with daily interactions and conversations, staff are highly encouraged to help support the resident's well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation of both and on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities that support their social and personal well-being.
