Job summary

New Vision Manufacturing in Madill, OK seeks a CAD Draftsman to prepare accurate drawings for manufactured homes. The role collaborates with engineering, production, and management to ensure code-compliant, production-ready plans.

The ideal candidate has experience with CAD software, residential construction drawings, and a detail-oriented mindset. This is a full-time on-site role with regular daytime hours (6:00 am–3:30 pm) and potential overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical certificate or associate degree in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field preferred.
Previous CAD drafting experience required.
Residential construction, manufactured-housing, or modular-building experience preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable drafting software.
Ability to read and prepare construction drawings, specifications, and measurements.
Understanding of residential construction methods and materials.
Knowledge of applicable manufactured-housing and building requirements is preferred.
Strong mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, managers, supervisors, and production employees.

Responsibilities

Create and revise manufactured-home drawings using CAD software.
Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, framing plans, and construction details.
Develop drawings for structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and production needs.
Convert design concepts and customer selections into accurate production drawings.
Review plans for correct measurements, dimensions, materials, and construction details.
Make plan revisions based on engineering changes, production needs, customer requests, or code requirements.
Maintain accurate drawing records, revision dates, and version control.
Work with engineers to ensure plans meet applicable building, safety, and company requirements.
Coordinate with Purchasing to confirm materials and specifications.
Communicate with Production to resolve drawing questions or construction issues.
Visit the production floor when needed to review designs and identify practical solutions.
Assist with preparing material lists, specifications, and supporting documentation.
Complete drawings according to assigned schedules and project deadlines.
Review completed work carefully before releasing plans to production.
Protect confidential company, customer, and design information.
Perform additional drafting or engineering-support duties as assigned.
