Job summary

Total Management NYC in the Bronx, NY is seeking a residential building porter responsible for cleanliness, maintenance and safety of our building. A typical day includes vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing floors, shampooing carpets, and coordinating with the team on maintenance tasks.

This union position (Local 670) includes health and pension benefits. The role requires 1+ year janitorial experience, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and high attention to detail.
• 1+ years of experience as a janitor or cleaning crew member.
• Must have a U.S. driver’s license or reliable transportation to the worksite.

Responsibilities

• Complete regularly scheduled maintenance duties like cleaning windows, shampooing carpets, supplying restrooms, changing light bulbs, and performing minor repairs.
• Ensure the building is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Perform daily janitorial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms, dusting furniture, and emptying trash.
• Secure building by locking doors once cleaning is complete.
• Remove dangerous hazards and clean up spills with squeegees or sponges.
