Job summary

The Salvation Army Clitheroe Center - Residential Program in Anchorage is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate to support clinical staff, supervise client activities, and handle data entry in EHRs and related databases.

Responsibilities include client intake, orientation, note-taking, scheduling, de-escalation, transport, and education, while maintaining strict confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Alaska State Counselor Technician certificate preferred.
• One year of experience in substance abuse, homelessness, or related field preferred.
• One year of clerical and data entry experience; proficient with MS Office and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal program data and follow up records; enter data into EHRs and databases.
• Schedule educational and group sessions and supervise client activities.
• Assist with incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Conduct client intake and orientation; monitor behavior and document in EHR.
• De-escalate in emergencies using crisis intervention; notify supervisors as needed.
• Assist with medication distribution procedures and client self-administration documentation.
• Support clients with assignments and group recovery activities; provide feedback.
• Transport clients on approved passes when required.
• Ensure confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and related regulations.
