Job summary

Alexander Youth Network in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide direct care and coordinate clinical activities in a residential/group home setting. The role shifts on the 2nd shift and includes mentoring and collaboration with a supportive, inclusive team.

You will support treatment planning, monitor client progress, and work with a compassionate team to help children overcome mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BA/BS in related human service field preferred.
• Four years of mental health experience preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and monitor direct care activities for clients in emergency group home, residential, and group home settings.
• Ensure adherence to the model, therapeutic activities, clinical interventions, staffing, and treatment planning.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure facilities are well-maintained.
