Job summary

Intermountain Centers in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Behavior Technician to provide direct care in a residential or inpatient Behavioral Health setting while implementing Intermountain’s applied behavioral program.

The role requires attending to members’ needs, data collection and reporting, transportation, meal preparation, safety monitoring, and active participation in team meetings. Training and licensing support are provided, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Experience – Six months of related experience preferred; 6 weeks of verifiable supervised behavioral health work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends to member’s physical and/or self-care needs, including emergency aid and safeguarding rights.
• Implements treatment goals using Positive Behavioral Support and crisis management techniques.
• Collects data and completes daily reports; maintains licensing requirements.
• Transports members to appointments and activities; maintains vehicle documentation.
• Plans, shops for and prepares nutritious meals; assists clients at the residential site.
• Observes and ensures member safety; conducts regular checks and logs.
• Attends CFT/ART meetings and staff meetings; completes required training.
• Maintains attendance records and adheres to scheduling policies.
• Ability to perform physical de-escalation as needed and pass related exams.
