TLC Management Co. in Chicagoland is seeking an Assistant Residential Maintenance Manager for our Mundelein, IL community. You will work closely with our service and community managers to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in multifamily housing with advanced knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience in service management within a residential community or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily service team operations.
• Oversee and perform maintenance requests with timely and effective resolution.
• Assist with unit turns to ensure move-in readiness and deadlines.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems, focusing on plumbing and electrical.
• Collaborate with Service and Community Managers to uphold community standards and resident satisfaction.
• Train, mentor, and support maintenance staff to foster a cooperative and positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and property policies.
• Participate in inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Be willing to participate in a rotating, emergency on-call schedule.
• Assist with 24/7 snow removal in the winter months.

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Residential Maintenance Manager for our multifamily housing community in Mundelein, Illinois. Our maintenance personnel are a vital part of the property management team. In this role, you will work closely with our Service and Community Managers to manage the community's day-to-day operations.

You will help to oversee and manage the service team to ensure outstanding resident service and maintain all mechanical systems. This position requires a hands‑on leader who is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained community environment.

Our compensation range is $28 to $30/hr., commensurate with experience and skill level, plus commissions and quarterly bonus potential.
