Job summary

WP Appraisers, a growing residential appraisal firm in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, offers a paid trainee program to become a licensed appraiser. You'll learn hands-on all aspects of appraisal work under supervision, with a focus on USPAP and Texas requirements.

This full-time, W-2 role starts at $40,000 per year, paid biweekly during training, with increasing earning potential as you progress to licensed status.

Qualifications

• Curious and detail-oriented, comfortable with numbers, research and writing.
• Clear, professional communicator with homeowners, agents and clients.
• Coachable, self-motivated and reliable; follow through without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes inside and out, measure, photograph, and note condition.
• Research the market: comparable sales, listings, neighborhood trends.
• Help prepare appraisal reports that comply with USPAP and Texas requirements.
• Coordinate inspections with the Appraisal Desk, director, homeowners or agents.
• Travel to properties across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
