Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Aide to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of staff and clients. The role involves maintaining a secure environment by enforcing house rules and operational procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Monitor clients, units, dorms, and facilities for safety and security.
  2. Enforce shelter policies and follow procedures.
  3. Maintain communication logs and document resident activities.
  4. Assist clients with questions and issues.
  5. Inspect items entering the facility for safety.
  6. Monitor video footage of common areas.
  7. Adhere to safety, health, and fire guidelines.
  8. Conduct hourly rounds of the facility.
  9. Report safety hazards promptly.
  10. Collaborate with security personnel.
  11. Prepare units for vacancies, including cleaning and tagging belongings.
  12. Document incident details accurately.
  13. Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical and Schedule Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel to multiple NYC sites as needed.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and walking.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Work in an office setting with moderate noise.
  • Shift work including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Preferred NYS Security License.
  • F-02 Certificate of Fitness.
  • CPR / First Aid certification.
  • Food handler certificate (NYC/NYS).
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Experience in residential facilities is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Pass drug screening.
  • Subject to background checks.
