Stonington Institute in Groton, CT is seeking a full-time Residential Aide to supervise the unit, help ensure resident safety and engagement, and support building and grounds security in alignment with institute policies.

This 3rd shift position with rotating weekends offers competitive compensation, strong benefits including medical, dental and vision, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and professional development within UHS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in social services, residential treatment, and/or custodial supervision desired.
• Valid driver’s license with MVR acceptable to organization, to include no DUI/DWI in past seven years.
• Public service endorsement or ability to obtain endorsement within 30 days of hire (preferred).

Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in South Eastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. We accept private insurance, state-funded plans and self-pay arrangements.

Job Summary

The Residential Aide participates in the supervision and operation of the unit to ensure resident safety and engagement and building/grounds security. Implements all Program and Institute policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of residents, Institute property and the community.
