Job summary

Goddard Riverside in New York City seeks a Residential Aide Shift Supervisor (RAS) for the Baxter Safe Haven program. You will supervise the Residential Aides and ensure safety, service quality, and smooth daily operations in a 75-bed transitional housing setting.

Working Sunday through Thursday 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, you will coordinate front desk coverage, support residents’ goals, and partner with program staff to provide case management services, meals, activities and security.

Program Description:

The Baxter Safe Haven provides transitional housing to 75 adults experiencing homelessness with the goal of permanent housing. On-site services include case management, entitlement assistance, medical and psychiatric care, substance use counseling, group activities, meals, recreation, and 24 hour/7 day per week front desk security.

Purpose of Position:

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Residential Aide Shift Supervisor (RAS) is responsible for assuring the general welfare, security and safety of the residents, staff, and facility. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Residential Aides team. The RAS is expected to ensure quality service deliverables by supervising the daily safe haven-related residential services and inspections, to ensure that all residents’ goals, are met 24/7 in a safe environment.

Sunday through Thursday 4:00 pm to 12:0 am

Salary Range:

$62,400 - $67,400

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
