A leading company in human services is seeking a Residential Aide to provide direct client care in a residential treatment program. The ideal candidate will assist in daily living activities while supporting the rehabilitation of individuals transitioning from the criminal justice system. Location: New Haven
Salary: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 3rd shift, Thursday-Monday (11p-7am)
Program Summary:
Roger Sherman House is a residential treatment program, providing individualized treatment services for adult males with problem sexual behaviors that are preparing to leave the criminal justice system. These services are to help educate the individuals on how to manage their problematic behavior.
Position Summary:
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents.
Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
