Job summary

Crossroads Turning Points is seeking a compassionate Residential Aide in Pueblo, CO. You will support counseling staff, transport clients, and help maintain a safe residential unit while documenting activities and following policies.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED with willingness to learn about substance misuse. CPR/First Aid certification is expected; QMAP is preferred but not required. Competitive benefits and shift-based pay available.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to learn the dynamics of substance misuse and its effects.
  • Prefer prior experience in a substance misuse setting or human service agency.
  • Able to communicate effectively and follow directions.
  • CPR and First-Aid certification (agency will cover training).
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • QMAP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.
  • Transport patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, and related activities.
  • Maintain security of the unit per policy and procedure.
  • Report child abuse or neglect to supervisor when applicable.
  • Monitor patients and document activities during the shift.
  • Report patient infractions or concerns to the counselor or supervisor.

This role requires collaboration as a team member of the assigned unit to assist counseling staff in delivering a range of alcohol and drug-related services by performing various duties.Please note that all applicants must undergo a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as well as a comprehensive background check and TB test.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Assists in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.Transports patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, and other related activities.Maintains the security of the assigned unit in accordance with CTP policy and procedure.Responsible for immediately reporting child abuse or neglect to the unit supervisor and area director when applicable.Monitors patients and their activities. Accurately documents the activities of each patient during the assigned shift.Responsible for reporting all patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneQUALIFICATIONS:Education:Requires a High School Diploma or GED.Experience:Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn the dynamics of substance misuse, alcohol, and its effects. Prefer prior experience working in a substance misuse setting or a human service agency.Others:Able to communicate effectively. Must be able to follow directions.CPR and First-Aid certification (the agency will cover all training and renewal fees).Valid driver's license and insurability.Basic computer skills are required.A Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification is preferred but not required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
