Job summary

Recovery Network in Baltimore is seeking a part-time Residential Aide to support clients in a Level 3.1 location. You will monitor clients, assist with intakes, observe medications, and maintain safety and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.

This role requires weekend shifts, strong de-escalation and communication, and a willingness to learn ASAM, Stages of Change, and 12-step recovery. Previous behavioral health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all clients during assigned shift.
  • Conduct regular rounds across the property.
  • Ensure the daily program/schedule is followed.
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor meals.
  • Observe and document medications taken or refused.
  • Monitor supervised urinalysis as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, staff and supervisors.
  • Inform program staff of clients' challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Provide accurate shift-change information verbally and in writing.
  • Attend team meetings as scheduled.
  • Adapt to schedule changes and new work assignments.
  • Maintain ethical and professional boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Understand and abide by HIPAA requirements.

Job description

Recovery Network provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our Level 3.1 locations! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Schedule / Hours:
  • Part-time
  • Saturday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Sunday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities include:
  • Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
  • Ability to conduct regular "rounds" throughout the entire property.
  • Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
  • Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
  • Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
  • Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled.
  • Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
  • Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
  • Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
  • Attend team meetings as necessary / scheduled.
  • Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
  • Ability to deescalate.
  • Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
  • Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.
Qualifications include:
  • Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern.
  • Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery.
  • Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
  • Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.
Pay:
  • $17.00/hr.
