Job summary

Project Chesapeake is seeking a highly motivated, reliable, part-time Residential Aide to join our team at one of our Level 3.5 locations in Maryland. The role focuses on supervising residents, maintaining safety, and supporting a positive, sober lifestyle while following HIPAA guidelines and program schedules.

You will monitor clients during your shift, assist with new intakes, conduct rounds, document medication activity, and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe, document, and inform others of physical, cognitive, or behavioral changes.
• Understanding of addiction, mental health, and recovery concepts.
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
• Willingness to learn ASAM criteria and 12-step recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all clients during assigned shift.
• Conduct regular rounds across the property.
• Ensure daily program and schedule is followed.
• Assist with new intakes and complete room searches.
• Observe and document medication administration or refusals.
• Monitor and observe supervised urinalysis as scheduled.
• Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and supervisors.
• Inform program staff of client challenges or behavioral issues.

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, part‑time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our Level 3.5 locations!

Schedule / Hours

• Part‑time
• Saturday - 7:00am - 11:00pm
• Sunday - 7:00am - 3:00pm

Responsibilities include:

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift.
• Ability to conduct regular "rounds" throughout the entire property.
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed.
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and/or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications.
• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed/scheduled.
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors.
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues.
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner.
• Attend team meetings as necessary/scheduled.
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments.
• Ability to deescalate.
• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff.
• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times.

Qualifications include:

Pay

$17.00/hr.
