Job summary

Management & Training Corporation operates the Joliet Job Corps Center in Joliet, IL, seeking staff to guide students and supervise dorm life within program guidelines. This full-time role emphasizes safety, program achievement, and positive student relations.

You will work with counselors to develop retention plans, coordinate student activities, and maintain accurate records while delivering quality customer service to students, staff, and center visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year experience with youth preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide proper guidance to students to ensure positive group living relations and achievement in the program.
• Determine, recommend, and arrange student visits to counselor.
• Direct dorm activities as designated.
• Patrol and monitor dormitories to ensure safety and proper behavior.
• Prepare the morning report; pass list and other administrative correspondence.
• Direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of the dormitory.
• Maintain dormitory and individual student files; update CIS records.
• Conduct daily inspections of several dormitories; provide quality customer services to students and center customers.
