A leading organization in Portland is seeking a Residential Advisor to oversee and support the Residential Advisors on assigned shifts. This role ensures compliance with policy requirements while meeting student needs through effective supervision and training. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and experience working with youth, demonstrating strong communication and relationship skills. The position involves regular interaction with students and staff, promoting a positive and safe living environment.
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing and monitoring all activities, duties, and responsibilities of the Residential Advisors on assigned shift, ensuring compliance with the Policy Requirements Handbook (PRH) for the Residential Department.

Qualifications:
Minimum: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency and two years’ experience working with youth and young adults.
Preferred: Same as minimum plus previous Job Corps experience.
Knowledge: Effective communication and relationship skills with disadvantaged youths. Ability to obtain a State driver’s license. CPR/First Aid & AED certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to motivate staff and model professional conduct consistently.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently: Sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking.
Occasionally: Standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, flexibility, pushing/pulling, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, running, driving.
Environmental Demands:
Operate office equipment. Occasionally work alone. Spend approximately 85% of time interacting with team and other departments. Read and write at college level.
