Louisiana Special School District is seeking a Residential Advisor to guide, mentor, and support students in a safe, nurturing residential environment. You will promote positive behavior, foster life skills, and help students reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. Fluency in American Sign Language is preferred but not required.

• Communicates with staff, parents, and administration regarding student needs, concerns, and progress.

• Responds to emergencies and follows established safety and security protocols.

The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency who provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.
