Job summary

Spring Grove Recovery is seeking an Individual Addiction Counselor to provide one-on-one counseling and support for patients in residential substance use disorder treatment. You will manage a caseload, participate in treatment planning, and coordinate discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field, an active license, strong communication and documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Active professional credential or license for the position.
• Ability to maintain credentials throughout employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of patients in residential SUD treatment.
• Conduct scheduled individual counseling sessions.
• Assess patient needs and apply appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Develop and review individualized treatment plans.
• Document counseling sessions and patient progress accurately.
• Assist with discharge and aftercare planning and resource coordination.
• Collaborate with treatment team and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
