DuPont Performance Building Solutions has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Account Manager in the residential construction market for the New England Market, including Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, located in the New England area. Based on the candidate selected, the level will be managed in accordance with applicable compensation guidelines and promotional criteria.

This position primarily focuses on increasing sales and market share of DuPont Performance Building Solutions products by driving specifications at the channel and contractor level, and analyzing, developing, maintaining, and managing local dealers and distributors. Emphasis will be on defining a local distribution strategy for the residential construction markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct responsibility for residential distribution, lumber dealers, builders, installers, contractors, and key industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with Building Knowledge Team, Pricing, Contracts, and National Account Managers to execute strategies effectively.
  • Represent the company to ensure product availability to turn specifications into sales.
  • Develop, communicate, and execute tactical account plans supporting national business objectives for strategic distributor locations.
  • Partner with local Building Envelope Specialists to drive full portfolio sales and support.
  • Manage activities related to distribution, including:
  • Tracking conversions through all stages using CRM tools.
  • Dealer & contractor product and installation training.
  • Problem resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Providing input to Pricing Manager on territory specifics.
  • Identifying, negotiating, training, and managing distributors for new product launches.
  • Supporting design & builder communities with technical expertise, including architectural details, code consulting, and pre-construction activities.
  • Tracking project opportunities to secure specifications.
  • Providing feedback on technical needs, new technologies, and strategic opportunities.
  • Acting as an industry ambassador and holding leadership roles in associations like NAHB.
  • Developing and implementing Rebate Programs for targeted customers.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred, ideally in Architecture, Construction, or related fields.
  • Five years of successful sales experience preferred.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and building science.
  • Strong business strategy and market understanding.
  • Advanced proficiency in SalesForce.
  • Strong customer advocacy, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High safety awareness and engagement.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the region and 5-10% outside.

The candidate should reside in the New England area as they will own and drive the channel management strategy for this region.
