Job summary

California Park Post Acute is seeking an Activity Director to oversee a comprehensive activity program designed to enhance residents' physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being. You will lead a team of staff and volunteers, and coordinate with the Nursing and Administrative teams to allocate resources efficiently.

The role requires developing individualized plans, maintaining calendars, and ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering resident rights and engagement in daily life.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in a social or recreational program within the past 5 years, 1 year in a resident activities program in health care.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common information in English and communicate effectively.”

Responsibilities

• Designs activities programs to meet residents' interests and functional levels.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate the plan of care.
• Develops and delivers individual, group, and bedside activities across multiple locations and times.
• Maintains activity calendars, records progress notes, and audits chart entries for quality assurance.
• Oversees staff and volunteers, manages staffing and budgeting for the activities department.
