Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Unencumbered driver's license and CDL.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of equipment, policies, procedures, and safety practices for transport.
• CPR certification or become certified within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Patience, tact, cheerfulness and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules as residents board and exit the bus or cross streets near bus stops.
• Operate vehicles in a safe manner and comply with traffic regulations.
• Check vehicle condition monthly and report malfunctions or needed repairs.
• Maintain order among passengers during transit.
• Punctually pick up and drop off residents at scheduled locations.
• Keep interior of vehicle clean at all times.
• Attend community outings as assigned by the Administrator.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
