West Hills Health & Rehabilitation in Portland seeks a dedicated Driver to transport residents to appointments and activities, ensuring safety and a caring approach. You will keep the community vehicles clean inside and out and perform daily inspections.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, operating the wheelchair lift, logging trips, and reporting safety issues. This position requires a valid license, adherence to DOT rules, and comfort working with ill or elderly residents.

Competenze

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements.
• Compliance with DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Infection control, waste disposal and universal precautions knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with endorsements and DMV record acceptable.
• Must be 25 years or older.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.
• Prefer 12 months driving experience.

Mansioni

• Provide safe transportation to residents for activities and appointments as scheduled.
• Pickup and deliver items to meet community needs.
• Assist residents on and off the vehicle to ensure safety.
• Operate wheelchair lift as required.
• Daily inspection and maintenance of community vehicle and cleanliness.
• Secure wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and bags prior to transport.
• Maintain mileage, repair logs and trip records.
• Report incidents to the Executive Director and document accident information.
• Identify transportation issues and report to leadership.
• Keep daily vehicle activity schedule as directed.
• Report hazards in the facility and take corrective action where possible.
• Dispose of refuse and PPE per sanitation procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
