Job summary

Sunrise Nursing in Missouri is seeking a Transportation Aide to move residents to physician appointments in a timely manner under the supervision of licensed staff and the Transportation Scheduler. The role supports dialysis residents and may assist other facilities as directed, with alternating weekdays and every other Saturday.

Qualifications include a valid Missouri Class E driver’s license, state-approved CNA training with registry in good standing, and current BLS/CPR certification.

• State-approved Nurse Aide Training; name on State Registry in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Works with Transportation Scheduler to organize resident transportation based on priority.
• Transports residents to and from inpatient/outpatient programs and to facilities and residences; picks up new admissions.
• Provides reports on resident status and changes in condition during transport; notes abnormalities to supervisor.
• Transports medical records for signatures to medical offices.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs routine maintenance checks; logs mileage.
• Assists with safe lifting/transferring per physician orders and clinical supervisor; supports residents needing assistance.
