Job summary

Necco seeks a Resident Transporter to provide transportation for residents to doctor appointments, therapy visits, and community activities while ensuring safety during transport. The role supports therapeutic interventions and requires strict adherence to safety policies and paperwork procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (degree preferred) and a valid driver’s license with clean record. CPR/First Aid and SCM certification are required or pursued as part of ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with less than 6 points on driving record.
• Six months experience working with target population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services for residents to appointments, therapy visits, home visits, court hearings, recreation and off‑campus activities.
• Provide direct supervision; ensure safety and security of residents during transport and off‑campus activities.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions with residents.
• Monitor whereabouts of residents and assist in maintaining order during transport.
• Attend all mandatory trainings and operational meetings; participate in Performance Quality Improvement committees.
• Follow agency policies regarding transporting residents and complete proper transport paperwork.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report any damage or maintenance needs.
