Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
• Experience operating a passenger van or bus preferred.
• CPR certificate required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and show good judgement.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Strong communication and courteous manners with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain neat and clean personal appearance.
• Complete transportation log and forms bi-weekly.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Assist residents in getting on and off the van.
• Follow policy guidelines in case of an accident.
• Arrange replacement driver if absent.
• Keep vehicle clean and washed as needed.
• Assist other departments when transports are not scheduled.
• Attend mandatory in-service meetings.
