Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Chauffeur, Non-DOT to safely transport residents in a community van or small bus (up to 15 passengers) and support social activities for residents both in and out of the community.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, assistance with boarding and seating, and adherence to safety and infection-control protocols. Evening or weekend availability may be required, with a clean, well-maintained vehicle and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Driver's license for transporting up to 15 passengers (state classes vary)
• Experience as a bus/van driver preferred
• CPR certification required
• Ability to handle challenging situations and make independent decisions
• Flexibility for evenings or weekend activities

Responsibilities

• Transport residents safely to activities and appointments, assist with boarding, seat belts, walkers, and wheelchairs
• Coordinate transportation for events with Lifestyle Enrichment Director
• Maintain vehicle upkeep, fueling, and basic preventative maintenance
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents to supervisor
• Adhere to infection control procedures and PPE when required
