Job summary

CMHA-CEI is seeking staff to support residents with severe mental illness in residential and supported living settings in Lansing, MI. You will assist with daily living skills, medications, and personal care under supervision, with a focus on independence and community participation.

Responsibilities include documentation, crisis intervention when needed, and collaboration with the team. The position requires a high school diploma, certification, and a valid Michigan driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in Department of Community Health Group Home Skill Training.
• Must be able to read and follow medication charts.
• Must be physically able to lift 40lbs.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and access to transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in personal care and treatment of individuals with serious mental illness in residential or supported living settings.
• Implement skill acquisition and stages of change related to each plan of service.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Train residents in daily living skills such as medication management, personal care, meal preparation and laundry.
• Maintain required documentation and attend mandatory team meetings.
